Burbank California Real Estate Restaurant Reviews
By far the most lauded and busiest eatery in the entire city of Burbank is Porto's Bakery and Cafe', where people literally line up out the door to get theirs! And what are they lining up for? Potato Balls, that's right, potato balls, cheese rolls, chicken croquettes, meat pies, sandwiches like ropa vieja pulled pork sandwich done Cuban style will make you happy.
The restaurant is divided into two parts, one for pastries and the other for the food service. There is lots of help behind the counter so even though the wait looks daunting, it really goes fast.
Porto's has lots of seating and prices are really reasonable. Pastries and cakes are fantastic. Open for Breakfast and lunch, and dinner till 7:00 P.M.. Don't miss it! Really. Don't.

2) Granville Cafe'
Granville Cafe' is located in Beautiful Downtown Burbank on San Fernando Boulevard. Granville bills itself as "Casual Gourmet". They are open for lunch and dinner. Everything is good here with adequate portions, well thought out recipes, comfortable, warm inviting decor with a fireplace too! Close to the AMC theaters and comedy house, the Burbank Media Center Mall and City Hall itself, Granville won't disappoint.
3) Granada Mexican Restaurant
Granada's is our favorite sit down Mexican Restaurant. Some aficionados of Mexican food would call Granada's, American Style Mexican food, but it is much more that that. Alfredo Bernal, the original owner passed on several years ago, and the restaurant closed, but soon after, re-opened to a grateful Burbank in need of their fantastic margaritas and Alfredo's family recipes that made Granada's the special place where friends and families can dine. Try the Botana Platter for starters and ask for their blue cheese dressing to dip with. It will blow you away. I love their Chili Colorado Burrito. The fajitas are great and the rice and beans they serve are top notch. Go there!
4) Gourmet '88 Chinese
Gourmet '88 is our favorite place for sit down Chinese food. The interior is pleasant, comfortable modern. The service is to notch.
"It is our great pleasure to invite you to come and experience our delicious contemporary Chinese cuisine. While many of our Northern Chinese recipes date back to the 10th century, you would be pleasantly surprised to find also a unique Californian twist.
Our dishes are prepared with the finest and freshest vegetables, meats and seafood available, and done in a most health conscious way."
Try the spicy eggplant, the sweet and pungent shrimp and the shrimp with macadamia nuts. Feel Hungry yet??
For incredible Cuban food in Burbank, OK, it is technically Glendale, This converted gas station on the corner of Victory and Western is the home to one of the best local Cuban eateries. This place is hopping with ex-patriots as well as those who know about their Cuban style roast pork sandwich with fries, their Cuban sandwich with roast pork, ham, Swiss Cheese, mustard and pickles, hot pressed, with fries, or anything on their menu for that matter. Have a look at this you-tube video from the Food Network's "Drive-ins, Diner's and Dives". Then ask yourself, why have I waited so long to try this place out?
The Castaway is always a solid choice for fine dining in Burbank. Overlooking the East San Fernando Valley and beyond, this is the "view"restaurant in Burbank and perhaps the entire San Fernando Valley. The Castaway offers Catering Services for Weddings, and Celebrations of all kinds. The food and service are always top notch. Saturday and Sunday all-you-can-eat style brunch is a little pricey but you can't beat the view on a clear day. Reservations are a must!

7) The SmokeHouse
The Smoke House has been a favorite for well, forever. Established in 1946. Local luminaries like Bob Hope and Bing Crosby frequented the Smoke House in those early days. Built beside the Warner Studios, the Smoke House is a favorite hangout for actors, producers, anyone in the business. Star sightings are not unusual here. What you won't find are any vampires because they will have been chased away by their world famous Garlic Bread. People travel far and wide to pick up a loaf of their Garlic Bread.
Besides the bread, this stalwart of the Studio District offers Steak, Seafood, Bar-b-Q Ribs, Sandwiches and Salads. Terrific Sunday Champagne Brunch with salads, seafood, serving stations, and their famous garlic bread. Call for reservations.
8) Tacos al Carbon
Casita Taco al Carbon is one of my favorite places to eat fast Mexican Food. Everything here is fresh home made Mexican fare They make everything from refried beans to salsas. Speaking of salsas, the salsa bar is fantastic.
My personal favorite is the Quesadilla Grande with either chicken or Carne Asada. Yummy. My Debra would eat their Vegetarian burrito every day of the week. My teenage boys love the steak burrito. The orders come with tortilla chips done just right. Try their Nachos, Tacos, Mexican combos for a great price. Open till 10 PM.
Very busy for lunch and the parking lot can get full quick. Order by phone and pick up!
Monte Carlo Deli & Pinocchio Restaurant are Burbank mainstays. They are a combination Italian Deli/Market, and restaurant. The deli is chock full of Italian imported pastas, baked goods, cheeses, salamis, marinated veggies and fried fish, the list goes on. If you expect to find it in an Italian market, you will find it.
The Pinocchio Restaurant is well respected by the Burbank lunch crowd. The patrons line up to order their Italian favorites. Sandwiches, pastas and pizzas, matched up with marinated vegetables, pasta and green salads, Good garlic toast too. Select from a varied selection of beverages to wash down the lunch or dinner. Beers, sodas, wines, coolers.
Go try it!
10) Talleyrand and Lancers Restaurants
Tallyrand & Lancers Restaurants are two Burbank California Favorites and I am combining these because they are similar in that they have a long established following. They are neighborhood Coffee Shop style restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to their adoring clientele. There are two other famous Burbank eateries that I will mention in the same breath. One is Harry's on San Fernando and Walnut, and the other is the Coral Cafe. Both neighborhood restaurants and both open 24 hours.
